Sea Legs Technology Effectively Overcomes Roll Fin Stabilizer Problems
Almost every prospective stabilizer customer has asked the following questions about Sea Legs transom mounted stabilizers:
"Can the system strike bottom in shallow water?" ...No
"Will the vessel use more fuel to compensate for drag?"...No
"Do they create speed loss?" No
"Can they cause propeller cavitation?" ...No
"Will they interfere with propeller tunnel flow?" ...No
"Do they provide superior motion control over all conditions?" ... Yes!
Sea Legs overcame all these conventonal roll fin stabilizer problems.
Beyond the Traditional Standards
Comfort at sea should be standard, not a novelty. Sea Legs Yacht Stabilizers, by Controlled Motion Engineering, are bringing complete yacht motion control directly to you. The traditional standard in yacht stabilization is to offer a 90% reduction in roll. We provide not only this, but an increase in overall comfort, with the ability to additionally control uncomfortable pitch and yaw movement underway and roll at anchor.
How does the Sea Legs Dual-T-Foil-Design
sustain comfortable yacht motion control?
The vertical foil sections produce a lever action at the transom, which reduces roll and yaw motion, while the horizontal foil sections act to control pitch and roll.
The Sea Legs Difference

Affordable Reliability
Controlled Motion Engineering has based its revolutionary new design around the 'solid state roll sensor.' The same technology used in high performance aircraft, military tanks, and robotics is now the standard by which efficient vessel stabilization is modeled. Our commitment to the quality of construction and service ensures that you will never shop elsewhere for your roll control needs. We bring you up-to-the-minute technology and superior service at a price you can afford.
Since Sea Legs is mounted higher then the propellers, they are less suseptible to damage from debris. Transom-mounting also ends the threat of propeller cavitation problems due to the potential for roll-fins to create disturbed waterflow ahead of the propeller.
Editors Note. In following seas, conventional roll-fin stabilizers have decreased effect unless electronically enhanced. Sea Legs advanced design works especially well in following seas without any additional electronic enhancement.
